Thank you for including such helpful photographs. The best treatment for your issue is VASER liposhifting. It is a subtle, but important difference from liposuction. Liposuction implies the removal of fat and that is not going to help your situation and could actually make things worse. Liposhifting is basically the same technique as liposuction, but no fat is removed -- it is just shifted around to help improve the irregularities.

Operating immediately to correct something is a tempting option, but this can lead to unnecessary operations and potentially further complication. Often, waiting to see how the scar tissue heals is the best option. Sometimes no operation is necessary after some time for the scar to stretch and settle, and almost always if you do need to operate the operation is easier because the tissue is less stiff and fibrotic and your surgeon can make smaller, more subtle corrections as necessary.

Animation of breast implants is normal (but unwanted) after submuscular implant placement. You may also have some "window shading" of the breast skin with animation. This window shading can usually be improved by performing a dual plane II or III procedure. This also helps decrease the animation as well. If you remove the implant the muscular attachment cannot ever be repaired in the original, anatomic position.

Insurance typically does not cover the cost of removing breast implants if the patient elected to have the implants for cosmetic reasons. Insurance only covers the cost of implants used for breast reconstruction. There is no distinct evidence that symptoms improve or go away after removal of implants.

I typically advise my patients to NOT have a lift done when they request removal of their implants. The only exception to this is if I determine on their exam that they would need a lift IF they were replacing implants instead of just removing them. What you are describing is "rippling" of the implant edge. This is normal and does not mean that there is anything wrong with your implant. Saline ripples much more than silicone, but silicone can still ripple. If you feel any "sloshing" when you jump or run then almost certainly you have saline. You could have an ultrasound done to determine if you have saline or silicone, but it would not be able to determine the size very accurately at all.

Once breast implants are removed the scar capsule collapses, but never resolves. The shape will change a little bit, but it will not go away. There is no evidence that shows a benefit to removing the scar capsule in someone that has no symptoms and no evidence of rupture, but there is good evidence that shows it increases risk for complications.

I am so sorry that you are not happy with your result or your experience. You are still very early in the process and I would always suggest patience before removing your implants. Sensation MAY still improve, and the tissue will still soften and begin to feel and look more natural.
