Can my veneers be shortened to fix the lopsidedness?
Exploring Veneer Adjustments for Improved Symmetry
Nov 15, 2023
Whether veneers can be shortened to address lopsidedness depends on the specific situation and the extent of the issue. Generally, minor adjustments can be made to veneers, including slight reshaping or trimming, to improve symmetry and correct minor irregularities. However, significant changes might not be possible through this method alone.
It’s essential to consult with us at S&C Dental so we can assess your veneers and determine the best course of action. They’ll evaluate the condition…
Broken central incisor and a few other chipped front teeth. What can be done?
Crowns/Veneers
May 4, 2021
Pregnancy can lead to imbalances in your saliva leaving you at greater risk for cavities. it seems like you have multiple cavities on your teeth. after an exam and Xrays your best option will likely be esthetic Emax crowns for your front 6 teeth. you may even need a root canal if the cavity is large enough on some of your teeth.
Cant wait for you to get the smile you are meant to have! :)
Why are my teeth matte/dull after braces removal?
Lost Luster after braces removal
May 1, 2021
Removing the bonding from the tooth after braces can leave them looking matte. usually this is because a course polisher was used. usually your teeth will rehydrate and that shine will come back after a few weeks. prescription strength fluoride allied to the teeth can also help. if that doesn’t make them shiny again its as simple as going back to the dentist to have them polished them with a finer grit of polisher and you will have the shine back!
My large canine tooth sticks out quite a bit and Is pretty sharp. How could I go about fixing it with
Improved esthetics
May 1, 2021
It appears that your left lateral (side tooth in front of your canine) is also smaller than the other side. this is making your canine look even bigger! For a quick fix your dentist could likely perform an enamelplasty on your canine to give it a better shape.. then with some dental bonding on both the lateral and canine to give it a more even shape.
your other option would be to do veneers on your front 6 teeth to make them all match.
but orthodontics would be the least invasive way that…
I have 2 dental crowns and I hate them. Do I have any options?
you do have options
Apr 9, 2021
Fearless,I am sorry about your current situation. Some things you can do to help would be whitening! Crest white strips are safe to use on your regular teeth and on the crowns (do not worry – the crowns will not get any more white). this should help the shade match. As for the symmetry, it really is best to have the whole top 6 completed in crowns/veneers. This allows for perfect symmetry and color match over time.
If I do crown lengthening, can that area be filled with composite? Will it be sensitive to hot and co
Yes crown lengthening!
Nov 2, 2020
Usually crown lengthening removes gums that are covering your teeth, causing them to look short. If this is the case, you will have plenty of enamel (the protective covering) over your teeth that won’t cause sensitivity. If you do experience sensitivity there are special pastes we can use to help! Almost always these take care of the issue.. if there is still sensitivity present then you are able to do binding to help :)
