Can these black triangles get closed?
Black Triangles

Hello,Black triangles are quite common following orthodontic treatment. It is true that there are adjustments that can be done to close these if you were to go back into braces. But there are other options as well.First of all, I would wait several months before doing anything. This is to allow some time for the gums to mature and remodel. The gums will fill these types of spaces to some degree over time, but possibly not all of the space. If after some time, these black triangles remain, you…

You are never too old to get braces! We have treated patients well into their 70’s who have chosen to straighten their teeth. At 28 your treatment should go smooth and get a great result.

Whitening with Invisalign

Jan 28, 2016
Hello,Invisalign aligners can be used effectively in most cases to whiten your teeth with whitening gel, but there can be some issues. If you have any of the resin attachments on your teeth, I would not recommend trying to whiten during treatment. If you did, those areas of the tooth that are covered in resin would not whiten, and your teeth would look spotty after removal of the attachments. Also, during Invisalign treatment, teeth tend to gather stain over time due to constantly…
Can wisdom teeth help move teeth forward if they were too far retracted from orthodontioc extraction t
Unlikely

Hello,It is unlikely that the wisdom teeth will have the effect you are looking for. Several studies have been done showing that wisdom teeth cannot significantly effect tooth movement. Unfortunately your best option would be to re-open these spaces where the teeth were extracted and replace the teeth. Another option is to do some type of veneers to broaden her smile and fill the space that is there and make them appear to be not set back as far.
Braces before or after root canal?
Braces After Root Canal
Jan 26, 2016
Jan 26, 2016
Hello,If you have teeth that are needing root canals due to active infection, I would recommend taking care of this before starting your orthodontics. In some cases it can be possible to do root canals with braces on the teeth, but it adds complexity and risk. It is also worth considering holding off on the crowns until after the orthodontics is completed, this way the crown could be fabricated to fit the position your teeth will be in long term. But I would recommend completing the root…
What happens if you change the Invisaligns 2-3 days late?
Not a Problem

If you are late on changing your aligners, there is no harm. This will only mean that your treatment is now a couple days delayed, and the day you switch your aligners in the future will be different.
