Is it ok to have a tummy tuck/ breast lift or augmentation if you have Rheumatoid Arthritis

I would discuss with your rheumatologist prior to considering surgery and get their input. You would need to get clearance before proceeding with surgery. MTX in general does not increase the risk of wound healing problems but does increase your risk of infection. If you take other medications such as a steroid you would have a much higher risk of both complications. Drain removal is a straight forward process in the clinic but with that being said I would meet with a plastic surgeon who performs a drainless tummy tuck. You have a mild pectus excavatum. A breast augmentation can slightly camouflage your chest wall and you should have a nice result with this procedure. I'm always careful to avoid over dissecting the pocket too medially in patient's with a pectus excavatum. I would place slightly different size implants to make up for the size discrepancy. Losing weight before having surgery will ultimately give you a better result and lower your risk profile. Your BMI is around 36 and this puts you in a higher risk category for post-operative complications. It does not preclude you from having surgery but does put you at higher risk. Given the current size of your breast I think a breast reduction alone would be best. I do not think you need implants. In regards to combining a BBL with the other surgery (tummy tuck and breast surgery) it is probably best to have liposuction and fat grafting first then do the breast reduction and tummy tuck at a later date (typically 3-6 months later). Based on your pictures you would benefit from a revision that would involve both liposuction and an excisional procedure. Make sure that your surgeon is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of ASPS and/or ASAPS. Both of these organization require board-certification.
