Thanks foe the question! From the photos it isn’t really apparent which side is droopy, which tells me that it isn’t a very dramatic asymmetry at this stage. Sleeping on one side all the time can lead to differences in facial appearance over many years, but a good skin care routine can minimise this. Can you try sleeping on the other side at least some of the time?

I think you would look great with either of the sizes you have selected, and both should avoid the “overdone” look. The difference between a 325cc and 350cc implant isn’t so much, so I think you can be confident with either size. I would steer you towards the 350cc size though, as many women wish they had “chosen the larger size” after surgery, so choosing the 350cc implants will probably be the wise choice for you. This is a good question that many patients ask at around the 5-6 week time point. You look to have a nice result, with good scars, but there is definitely some residual swelling. The swelling is almost always above the transverse scar, so it gives you your current shape, but I would expect it to flatten as the swelling resolves over the coming weeks and months.

It looks like you are in the early post-op period right now, and there is bruising and swelling affecting the right side in particular. My first suggestion would be to let everything settle down completely, and only at that point make an assessment of whether the skin excision has been adequate. You should definitely share your concerns with your PS in the meantime though – we always want to know if our patients are worried! Good luck!

At one week post surgery, there will be lots of swelling and bruising which can distort the appearance of the chest wall, including the nipple areolar complex. You should wait until six weeks or so before evaluating the outcome, although things will usually continue to settle down for six months.
If the problem does persist, it can be managed with open procedures to redistribute the fat behind the areola, or fat transfer.

You look to have a good result from your surgery, but it is still early. Though a significant proportion of the swelling will settle by the 6 week time-point, it is 6 months before you can assess the final result. There is evidence of ongoing post-op swelling on both sides and I think it will improve significantly from the current position over the coming months. Good luck!
