Biography: Alexa is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner and one of the leading ladies of LexRx. She has both clinical and research experience that is second to none in the industry; she graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Medicine/Health Science, and received both a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and Master of Science degree in Nursing from Regis College. Alexa was also the recipient of the Masters of Nursing Excellence Award at Regis College.

Prior to attending graduate school, Alexa worked at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Plastic Surgery Research Laboratory alongside the Division Chief; during her three years in the laboratory, she gained first-hand clinical/surgical experience, in addition to many professional/academic publications. During her clinical training for her Masters, Alexa trained alongside the Lead Nurse Practitioner in the MGH Plastic Surgery Clinic, where she perfected the art of injectables.

She graduated from Emmanuel College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biostatistics (Magna cum laude), and received both a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and Master of Science degree in Nursing from Regis College. While an undergraduate, Alexandra balanced a rigorous academic career all while excelling as an NCAA athlete playing Women’s Soccer.

Prior to attending graduate school, Alexandra worked in an Adult and Pediatric Urgent Care Center, and then transitioned to managing her own urgent care clinic. In these roles, Alexandra gained immense clinical knowledge and exposure to many complex medical problems—something her clients appreciate.

?While emergency medicine remains a passion of Alexandra’s, she found excitement and potential in the avenue of aesthetic medicine as a specialty that allows providers to both empower and promote self-confidence in clients’ overall well-being.
