I have 325cc moderate plus profile – Do I need a lift?
Yes mastopexy required

Hi, thanks for the question. Obviously you would need to have a detailed consult and examination by a fully registered Plastic Surgeon but yes looking at your images you would benefit from a mastopexy (uplift). Over time and with changes (including ageing, pregnancy, breast feeding, weight loss) the breast tissue (and nipple) will naturally drop down as the supporting ligaments keeping it up weaken. Your implants which are most likely under the muscle have stayed high (likely in the…
Will these tattoos get deformed with BA?

Jul 16, 2021
Hi thanks for your great question. I always warn patients who have moles or tattoos close to their breast that their location can change after breast augmentation. It all depends on the proximity of the tattoo/mole, size of implants, existing breast tissue and tissue laxity. If larger implants with minimal tissue laxity are used or your natural fold needs to be lowered to accommodate the implant then residual skin needs to be recruited and this can affect the position of your tattoo. You…
How common is it for a plastic surgeon to perform an extended arm lift?
Uncommon procedure

Whilst a forearm reduction can be performed the resultant scarring is often not acceptable to many patients. With many body contouring procedures the goal is to hide the scars as well as possible. The problem with forearm reduction is that the scarring would be very visible and in comparison to arm reduction surgery there is a greater degree of poorer outcomes. You should be a assessed by a fully certified plastic surgeon to assess your skin quality etc. Sometimes the results you are looking…

Breast Reduction may help

Hi thanks for your question. Breast reduction is often a very emotive topic for patients but many ultimately find it very rewarding. My happiest group of patients are often the breast reduction patients and they are glad they had it done. From the symptoms you describe a breast reduction may help. You would need full discussion and examination by a certified plastic surgeon but based on your photographs you a have a degree of ptosis (nipple below the natural fold of your breast) and a degree…
If I’ve previously had liposuction in 2012 of my stomach, can I still have a tumm
Yes previous liposuction doesn’t preclude tummy tuck surgery

Hi thanks for asking your question. Obviously you will require full discussion and examination by a certified plastic surgeon to assess the specific needs of your case but based on your question alone previous liposuction doesn’t preclude a tummy tuck. In fact liposuction is often considered at the same time as a tummy tuck or even before for troublesome areas of fat or loose skin not addressed by the tummy tuck procedure. Revisions are often considered when someone has had a p…

Anaesthetists are surgeons best friends

Anaesthetists (anaesthesiologists) are experts in finding vascular access. They are often the people called upon when others fail to take blood or obtain venous access. This can be aided through use of ultrasound etc so I am sure when you have been assessed they will be able to offer this for you. Alternatively small volume Liposuction can often be performed under local anaesthesia alone
If I get a tummy tuck, can I just opt to not have a belly button at all? I know t
Of course

Dear catcat812, it is definitely your choice to opt for no belly button. Actually it makes the “tummy tuck” operation technically easier. However, I would warn you that to have “no belly button” may look odd and draw attention. During a well planned tummy tuck operation the new belly button created can actually look more aesthetically please than the old one. I would recommend having a discussion with an experienced plastic surgeon about what type of belly button you would be looking for…
