I’m assuming you recently had breast augmentation if not contact your physician immediately.It is common to get a variety of aches
and pains and zings and pullings and pushings and funny feelings and
numbness and itching that you can’t scratch for at least six months after
surgery. These unusual feelings are response of the body stretching over
time to accommodate new implant.

While you’re description sounds quite normal,

that you would need a lift. Implants alone would give you a very nice result. I
recommend that you see a board certified plastic surgeon in consultation to get
more specific answers to your questions which can best be addressed after a

In my own practice we keep silicone gel
implants of all sizes available for patients to try on in a testing
bra. This is not a perfect teaching tool because under the muscle
implants tend to lose some projection, but because my patients look it actual
implants on their frame I find it the most helpful.

I encourage my patients to bring a friend or
friends for a second or third opinion, and to bring a few different shirts.

It is very common to have asymmetry, find a plastic surgeon in your area that has galleries that can demonstrate their work with asymmetry patients as it is a little more difficult of a procedure.

Thanks for your question. The truth is that each
patient is different in her recovery. My average patient takes about a
week to return to work but I ask that she not embark upon heavy lifting,
pulling, pushing or things that bring up the blood pressure for about three
weeks. Some patients will need less recovery time and occasionally some
will need more. As a general rule of thumb I find more muscular patients

Thank you for your question.

As others have answered here, a mini tuck
primarily address skin laxity and sometimes abdominal laxity below the belly
button. It doesn’t do much for looseness or muscle laxity above the
bellybutton. A full tummy tuck handles this area better.

There are other variations that are less
well-known depending upon your goals and time for recovery.

For example a full tummy tuck can be done
without muscle repair for the appropriate patient.
