Hello. Thanks for the question. It could just be scar tissue and/or a deep suture, which are all normal and expected. In that case, an antibiotic is not necessary. Those do soften with time and your surgeon might clear you soon to start massage to that area. An assessment in person is crucial in monitoring so it is best to make sure to have scheduled follow-ups with your surgeon. Happy healing!

Hello. It appears that it is just blood, adhesive residual and/or bruising. Looks like you are healing normally. The incision line will change as swelling decreases and as your deep dissolvable sutures start dissolving. Steri-strips are important in the first weeks after surgery. Using scar treatment twice daily is also important  2-3 weeks into your recovery. Make sure to follow-up with your surgeon and follow their recommendations. Happy healing!

Any time you do a chemical peel there is a chance that you could peel. Peeling typically occurs 48 hours after the application and can last anywhere from 3-5 days. The best way to care for peeling skin is to use a gentle cleanser, a growth factor, a post procedure moisturizer and sunscreen for daily use. Let the skin flake naturally not picking or pulling at the skin that is loose.

We generally recommend patients avoid lying flat (naps, dentist appointments, massages, hair appointments, etc.) and avoid exercise for 4 hours after receiving Botox or Dysport.  We also advise against applying pressure to the treatment areas for 4 hours.  Some practices may have varying recommendations, but we do not see any issue with waxing your eyebrows two days following your Dysport treatment.  As always, check with your healthcare provider to discuss their recommendations.

We do recommend everyone to stop any type of retin-A, retinol, or retinoid products upon finding out that they are pregnant. Although retinoids are a weaker form of retinol or retin-A. Patients often ask why they have to stop using the products and mostly it is due to the fact that they do not test retin-A or retinoid products on pregnant patients. Thank you for your question. I would suggest pre treating with ZO Medical Retinol Skin Brightener 1% Retinol. Starting the ZO Medical Retinol Skin Brightener 1% Retinol at least 4-6 weeks prior to a laser treatment or peels. Thanks for the question. Generally, our microdermabrasion's include either a lactic, salicylic or glycolic peel right after the microdermabrasion procedure and followed by a mask tailored to each individual skin type and reaction to those two procedures. The peel is also tailored in which one we use depending on your frequency of having the microdermabrasion procedures and skin issues, if any. Anything stronger and I would advise to wait at least 4-6 weeks in between.  Hope this helps.

Cellfina is a highly effective treatment for dimpling in the buttocks and thighs caused from fibrous banding.  However, Cellfina does not tighten skin and does not reduce fat.  Many of my Cellfina patients benefit from non-invasive skin tightening following the Cellfina procedure.  Because different offices have various ways of tightening skin, I recommend an in person consultation before proceeding with a treatment option to ensure expectations align.

Hello. It can depend on your surgeon and their orders, but generally 1 week without lifting anything over 10 pounds is a recommendation. After 1 week, lift with caution.
