Is this normal a week after breast reduction?
vertical scar BBR

The vertical scar breast reduction can leave excess skin at the bottom and if this doesn’t settle your surgeon can revise and should revise it, but you need to leave it for a while.
Your two breasts look a different at the moment, but wait and see, not all is settled yet and I would wait 3 months before passing final judgement. Really I would, but if the result is not satisfactory your plastic surgeon should revise it.
Best of luck

Thank you for your question.
It depends on the type of BCC, so if it is a micronodular or infiltrative BCC then Mohs’ surgery is the gold standard, but the wait for this is often several months on the NHS (and in private it will be a long wait as well).
Excising it and getting the histology back is often called ‘slow Mohs” and the result from the pathologist can take a week or so, if they don’t do frozen sections, but if they do frozen sections they are not 100%.

Scar revision…yay or nay?
scar revision?

No, I don’t think so.
You could try having a bit of steroids injected into the scar, which might make it thinner and less visible, but a whole scar revision? I really don’t think you need it, it is a lovely result.
You can always have a scar revision later if you want to.
Best of luck

Should I get a tummy tuck? If possible revision will be needed in the future?
You don’t need a tummytuck

Judging by your pictures you do not need a tummy tuck at all!
You are slim, I obviously don’t know if your tummy muscles have moved apart because of the pregnancy, but that can be done with endoscopic (which I hasten to add I don’t do!) or minimally invasive repair, not a whole tummytuck!
You can of course carry a baby to term after a TT, but you will be tight, there will be less room and this will reduce your lung capacity more than in a normal pregnancy, so you can do it, but why not…

How important is to choose board certified surgeon when considering TT?
Board certified

Thank you for your question.
We are not Boardcertified in the UK, but we have other qualifications. FRCS(Plast) means that we have passed an exit exam set by the Royal Colleges of Surgery, so I would take that as a minimum.
Not everyone passes.
Then we are members of BAPRAS and BAAPS, where we are admitted on qualifications and references.
I would make sure your surgeon is adequately qualified by checking their qualifications and membership.
Best of luck

You have an amazing result, and well done for keeping the weight!
Unfortunately you can only get rid of the vertical crease by exchanging it for a scar, so I personally wouldn’t. You could look into Thermage but I am not sure it would do enough.

Thank you for posting.
The swelling may just be due to the lymphatic drainage but you should exclude a deep vein thrombosis, so please see your surgeon asap. It is highly unlikely, but better exclude this (you migth already have excluded this).
Best wishes
Barbara
