Those are a lot of questions regarding butt implants. The answers can vary from surgeon to surgeon because everyone uses a different technique and implant selection. In general, most implants do get softer with time. The muscle can grow with working out. Weight gain can augment fat grafting to the hips. Ideally, I would like you to be at a weight you can maintain both before and after surgery. I do not want someone to binge diet prior to surgery because you will likely gain it back after surgery and could potentially affect your results. As answered prior, a solid silicone implant is the one approved in the US for use. The way I think of it is that the implants are being sat upon and an implant that can rupture may not be the best idea. I use a subfascial plane that goes under a portion of the muscle. It usually does not affect the muscle because it is not completely under the muscle.Once the implants soften after a few months, they tend not to bother my patients.

In your particular case, I would recommend not having permanent sutures placed. Long term absorbable sutures can be used and they would not be present after 6 months. You may have a slightly higher chance of having a little more laxity of your abdominal wall, but it should be minimal.

You are going to have terrific results after you tummy tuck, but you may never be flat like you were prior to having kids. I try to let my patient's know that their muscles will be brought together and their skin will be removed, but sometimes we can't always achieve an ideal result due to the anatomy of their bodies. Good luck in your surgery, you really will have great results but please don't expect complete flatness!!!

Breast can be hard and not drop for about 3 months after surgery. If you are very concerned talk with your surgeon and get re-assured. It is really hard to have patience after surgery, but it takes time for the body to heal.

Tummy tucks are commonly performed when patients have low vertical scars. It helps convert that vertical scar to a low horizontal scar that can be hidden below the belt line. It does take a little more effort to get through the scar tissue but a board certified plastic surgeon has that training. I think a tummy tuck with liposuction would give you great results and hid your scar under you underwear.
