If you are a good candidate for CoolSculpting, having metal in your knees is not a contraindication. The main contraindication for having CoolSculpting in the abdomen is a hernia or recent surgery in the abdomen.

Not at all! It is perfectly fine for you to have CoolSculpting around a surgery if the surgical area is not near the area being treated. If you were having abdominal surgery, it would be prudent to wait 3-6 months before having CoolSculpting.

Is it normal I haven't seen any changes yet on my upper arms after CoolSculpting?

The company states that results can happen in as early as three weeks! That being said, when we got our machine and followed up with phone calls at 3-4 weeks, we were disappointed to hear that they could not tell any difference. Not to worry, at 6-8 week and even as far out as 12 up to 16 weeks we were seeing great results. Through the studies, on a cellular level, we know that the process has begun by three weeks but actually seeing results happens between 6-8 weeks.

The fat that was treated was above your stomach muscles and your muscles, organs and uterus are perfect in protecting the baby underneath. I am sorry that you are going through this and no, it is not normal. What is normal is a little redness, mild swelling and some hypersensitivity. This should last no more than 2 weeks and it would be unusual if any of these symptoms lasted longer than 6 weeks. The provider should report this as an adverse event if you are experiencing these symptoms and they are a direct result of the treatment. I hope you heal well from your burns.
