Can I do CoolSculpting on my belly? I have metal implants in my knees
Metal in Knees
Oct 25, 2018
If you are a good candidate for CoolSculpting, having metal in your knees is not a contraindication. The main contraindication for having CoolSculpting in the abdomen is a hernia or recent surgery in the abdomen.
Does anesthesia interfere with the CoolSculpting results?
Interfere with Anesthesia?
Oct 25, 2018
Not at all! It is perfectly fine for you to have CoolSculpting around a surgery if the surgical area is not near the area being treated. If you were having abdominal surgery, it would be prudent to wait 3-6 months before having CoolSculpting.
Is it normal I haven't seen any changes yet on my upper arms after CoolSculpting?
Results
Oct 25, 2018
The company states that results can happen in as early as three weeks! That being said, when we got our machine and followed up with phone calls at 3-4 weeks, we were disappointed to hear that they could not tell any difference.  Not to worry, at 6-8 week and even as far out as 12 up to 16 weeks we were seeing great results. Through the studies, on a cellular level, we know that the process has begun by three weeks but actually seeing results happens between 6-8 weeks.

POSITIVE
Oct 25, 2018
Congratulations on your news!  Even though we do not intentionally treat pregnant women with CoolSculpting, your body has protected your child from the cold. The fat that was treated was above your stomach muscles and your muscles, organs and uterus are perfect in protecting the baby underneath. You may have a little soreness from the treatment but not to worry about the precious cargo! Best of luck!

CoolSculpting and BBL
Oct 25, 2018
I’m glad to see you’re thinking ahead! It all depends on your priorities. If the abdomen bothers you now and you think you would feel better about yourself with cool sculpting, I would go ahead and do that. It appears that you have very little fat in your abdomen, however, a better donor site for fat in you would be perhaps in the thighs or flanks. This is also the area that with reduction makes the buttocks look rounder and fuller. Once an area is cool sculpted, there is scarring and som...
With CoolSculpting, is it common to have six treatment areas on the abdomen? How might this
Multiple treatments
Oct 25, 2018
Actually, it is very common to require six or even more treatments of the upper and lower abdomen extending into the hip rolls to make the shape as good as it can be. Obviously, factors like cost and time will influence your decision. Your provider should give you several different options and give you an indication of how the outcome will be different depending on how many treatments you have. Make sure that none of the treatments are aimed at trying to tighten loose skin with little fat. T...
Does CoolSculpting always remove 20-25% of fat regardless of how much fat there is to begin
Fat removal
Oct 25, 2018
Your question is a good one! You must be a scientist or engineer! The important way to look at any fat reduction technique is sculpting areas that exist in excess. Therefore, you never want to remove all the fat so the actual percentages aren't as important as how it feathers into the surrounding regions. Whether it’s cool sculpting or liposuction it has to be done artistically. Make sure you see a professional who offers all techniques.
What are the clinical outcomes of using CoolSmooth on male pubis mound fat?
Mons Area
Oct 19, 2018
We have seen good results in this area. We have not had any reports of worsening cases of the regular post procedure symptoms. There is usually mild swelling, some numbness and tingling that can last up to 2 weeks. This area is a place that is not usually talked about but I see no reason for you to have it treated if it meets the criteria from a professional trained in the procedure. Thank you for your question.
Is it normal that months after a Coolsculpting 3rd degree burn, the 8 areas treated that da
Thermal Events
Oct 19, 2018
I am sorry that you are going through this and no, it is not normal. What is normal is a little redness, mild swelling and some hypersensitivity. This should last no more than 2 weeks and it would be unusual if any of these symptoms lasted longer than 6 weeks. The provider should report this as an adverse event if you are experiencing these symptoms and they are a direct result of the treatment. I hope you heal well from your burns.
Repeated thermal events on right inner thigh? Should I be worried?
Thermal Events
Oct 18, 2018
It could be possible that a different head is needed to get a good suction attachment to the area. If the seal to the machine is not tight, it can allow outside air in and can produce a thermal event. Before our practice got the CoolPetite attachment, we were having some trouble attaching the CoolAdvantage head in the inner thigh and flank area of smaller individuals. In these patients, the CoolPetite head worked much better. That being said, if your inner thigh did not get too cold and fr...
How soon after nasolabial excision can I get a facelift?
Nasolabial Fold Excision
Aug 14, 2017
You didn't mention your age, but nasolabial fold excision is usually only done in patients with very heavy folds usually after the age of 65.  It will leave a permanent scar and if it is a visible one, you might regret having the procedure done.  Therefore, if you think you are a candidate for a facelift, consider having that first and only in the case where the nasolabial folds remain unsightly and prominent, then you might have them excised.  Honestly, I have very rarely in 32 years of d...
Am I a good candidate for a facelift?
Need for Facelift?
Aug 14, 2017
You are a very attractive lady and you do not need a facelift as many other plastic surgeons have already written to you.  Continue good skin care, sun protection, and consider a little filler in your "tear trough" area below your lower eyelids.  You mentioned your "weak jaw" and I do agree that you might enjoy a little more chin projection.  This is easily done with a chin implant but visit a board certified plastic surgeon who offers imaging capability to see if you would like it.  It won'...
Is their anything else besides fillers to fill my cheeks up? Will a mini facelift work?
What can be used to restore cheek volume?
Aug 14, 2017
Although I don't have a photo of you to help tailor my answer to your question, I prefer to use your own fat to fill out anything other than minor hollowing in the cheeks.  That being said, if you have looseness or sagging in the cheeks, then you should strongly consider the combination of fat grafting and lifting of the soft tissue via a mini lift or conventional facelift.  Fat has the advantage of being more permanent, replaces the type of tissue that has disappeared with aging, and can ...

Quicklift Correction
Aug 14, 2017
Minimal lift procedures with short incisions such as "Quicklift" and marketed as rapid recovery, etc usually are designed to primarily tighten the cheek skin in front of the ear.  If you started out with significant sagging in the neck, it is not surprising that you have a disappointing result.  Perhaps your doctor did not offer you the most appropriate procedure for the aging issues that were bothering you.  However, I don' have photos of you before your surgery to make that judgment.  I ...
Why is liposculpture done sometimes during a facelift?
Droopy skin in the Face
Aug 14, 2017
You have pointed out an important problem with fat removal in many areas of the body but particularly in the face over the age of 50.  Every face is a little different in terms of shape and distribution of fat.  For patients earlier in life when the skin is still very elastic, judicious removal of fat from the neck or along the jawline can improve one's appearance.  We almost never remove fat from the mid face.  As we age we lose facial fat and therefore we need to replace it were it has bee...
