He received his MD from Cornell University Medical College in upstate New York. While attaining his medical degree, a family crisis inspired him to pursue plastic surgery as his specialty. “At the time I started medical school at Cornell, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer,” says Dr. Hasen. “She was so frightened by the thought of the removal of her breast that she lacked the strength to proceed with the mastectomy—until she met with her plastic surgeon, who allayed her fears by describing how he could reconstruct her breast and make her feel whole again.”

He completed an internship and residency in General Surgery at Northwestern University McGaw Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, followed by a residency in Plastic Surgery, also at Northwestern University. He then completed a fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery at Plastic Surgery Associates in Miami, Florida.

As the founder of the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery & Med Spa of Naples, Dr. Hasen is dedicated to making patients feel special and genuinely cared for. “We are unique in our area because of the concierge level of care we provide all patients,” says Dr. Hasen. “We have a modern but comfortable office that rivals any plastic surgery office in the country in its elegance and beauty. Without seeing you in person or reviewing your photos and doing an online or virtual consult, it would be hard to tell you definitively whether the breast lift would help that area. Typically, the breast lift improves the excess skin and sagging above the breast crease (inframammary fold). At times, liposuction is done to the fat roll under the IMF to reduce the appearance of fat on top of the ribs.

In our practice, we often treat patients at their goal weight who have stubborn areas of fat. The fat must be "pinchable" enough to fit in to the CoolSculpting applicator. If there is not enough tissue to achieve proper suction with the applicator, the treatment will be ineffective.
