What type of tummy tuck do I need?
Standard tummy tuck with muscle plication
Aug 31, 2023
Thank you for your inquiry and photograph. You appear to be a good candidate for a standard tummy tuck with plication of the rectus muscle. It looks like a lot of skin will come off so the scar may have to be taken farther out to the sides but I would not call that an extended tuck.
Be sure to see a surgeon who is experienced, board certified and who uses both tumescent infiltration and Exparel which provides up to three days of pain relief and makes your recovery dramatically easier.
What is this at the outer corner of my eyes?
Problem caused by a poorly planned incision
Jul 29, 2023
Thank you for your inquiry and I’m sorry for your issue. It was caused by a poorly planned incision by your surgeon. The curvilinear ellipse of skin should have been a gentle “S” shape where it upturns at the lateral canthus to lay along the natural skin creases in that area. Your surgeons incision never took the upturn and was more of a gentle “C” shape so that the scar went across the natural skin lines resulting in the webbing that you are seeing. I would see a more experienced or…
Looking into mommy makeover with hernia but family member allergic to dissolvable sutures
Your sister had an infection, NOT an allergic reaction!
May 7, 2023
Thank you for your question. Whoever told your sister that she was allergic reaction to the sutures is lying. Pure and simple. Your sister had an infection. Likely someone in her surgeons office blamed the infection on the sutures in an effort to divert responsibility for the complication. Sutures are absolutely necessary to close incisions and repair the hernia as well as to tighten the abdominal muscles. “Rejection” of sutures almost never happens. Stop worrying.
Size, technique and shape – is 300cc over the muscle right for me?
UNDER the muscle!!!!
Apr 25, 2023
Based on your photos alone, 300cc’s should be fine. Not too big and not too small. But the advise of implants on top of the muscle is very bad. The pressure from the implants will cause your breast tissue to shrink slightly. As a result, over time you will likely see wrinkling and rippling of the implants. Your implants will be easier to feel and have a higher risk of capsular contracture which can also increase the risk of rupture. Implants on top of the muscle get in the way more when…
Would breast implants after a breast reduction to increase size and shape be a good idea for me? (Pho
Implants do not need to be changed every ten years
Mar 10, 2023
Thank you for your inquiry and photographs. It is not uncommon for women to undergo a breast reduction and eventually consider implants to give them the upper pole fullness. It is completely false that implants need to be changed every ten years! This is a misconception that arose from the fact that implant companies provided some financial assistance to patients who had an implant rupture within the first ten years after their surgery in addition to getting free implants. There is NO…
200cc, behind the muscle, waterfall deformity? Would lift/larger implant correct this?
Implant repositioning is likely all you need
Dec 19, 2022
Thank you for your inquiry and photographs. While an examination would be required for a complete evaluation, in the photographs, it appears that your implants are sitting too high. I believe that it is likely that repositioning the implants down so that the lower portion is not under the muscle (dual plane), they would be fine and you could avoid the cost and scars of a lift as well as not having to pay for new implants. Good luck.

350cc, high profile, am I bottoming out & will I need a revision surgery?
Differential wrapping may solve your issue
Nov 28, 2022
Thank you for your inquiry and photographs. You appear to have a very nice result from your surgery but, as you say, the right implant is a little lower than the left. It is not significant enough to recommend a surgical revision and you may be able to improve the appearance with differential wrapping of your breasts. Use as Ace bandage and firmly wrap it around your chest covering the lower portion of the right breast and the upper aspect of the breast. It should be firm enough to cause…
Would tattoos help conceal genetic dark under eyes? Should I consider other procedures?
NO to tattooing
Nov 18, 2022
Absolutely DO NOT tattoo you lower eyelids. It WILL NOT match your skin and you will 100% regret it. In addition, cosmetic tattoos can be very difficult to get rid of and you may be stuck with something that looks awful for the rest of your life. DON’T DO IT!!!!!
When I relax my facial muscles, I appear to have brow and eyelid ptosis. Are there non-surgical solut
You have some nonsurgical solutions
Aug 30, 2022
Thank you for your question and photograph. You certainly have brow ptosis which could be corrected with a brow lift or endoscopic brow lift. Nonsurgical options include Botox or Dysport in the glabella and crows feet areas which can give you a little medial and lateral brow lift for 3-4 months. Do not get neurotoxins injected into your forehead as your brows will drop further.
To elevate your eyelids, you can try Upneeq. It is a prescription drop that you put in your eyes and will…
Can ears relapse years after otoplasty due to removal of permanent sutures?
Relapse unlikely after 17 years
Aug 29, 2022
Thank you for your question. Most otoplasty procedures involve putting in several permanent sutures. It is unlikely after 17 years that removal of a single suture would result in a relapse.
If, by chance, you did get somewhat of a relapse, it could be corrected with an incisionless procedure under just local anesthesia.
Could a breast lift alone help reshape my breasts?
A breast lift with small reduction on one side should solve your issues
Aug 24, 2022
Thank you for your question and photographs. You appear to be a good candidate for a breast lift (mastopexy) with a small reduction on one side to improve symmetry. The recovery is generally very easy with minimal pain.
Be sure to see an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon.

What is the best treatment for texture and collagen loss? I’m 45
A mini-facelift is your best option
Aug 22, 2022
Thank you for your question and photographs. There is really nothing nonsurgical that is going to give you the lift that you need. A good mini-facelift will markedly improve your jawline and help the nasolabial folds. It generally has a quick recovery period with minimal pain.

Would it be hard to remove the pink ink? How many sessions to completely remove?
The number of sessions to completely remove the tattoo depends on numerous factors
Aug 22, 2022
Thank you for your question and photograph. The number of session that laser tattoo removal takes depends on a number of factors including the age of the tattoo, type of ink, which laser is used and how long you wait between session. It takes several weeks to months for your immune system to clear the ink particles so the longer you wait between treatments the better. At least 6-8 weeks.
The pink ink could be a problem if it was made by combining red and white ink. White ink is the most…
Switching Lasers during Tattoo Removal?
No problem changing lasers
Aug 22, 2022
Thank you for your question. It is not a problem changing lasers for tattoo removal. Unfortunately, it is probably not a problem with the laser. Most dark tattoos take several treatments to see much fading. Some inks respond faster than others and certain areas of the body are more resistant to the laser treatments. Newer tattoos take more treatments than older tattoos. The longer you wait between sessions, the more the tattoo tends to lighten as it takes a while for your immune system…
Do I have tubular breasts? Are they just small?
You have a mild for of tuberous breasts
Aug 8, 2022
Thank you for your question and photographs. You appear to have a mild form of tuberous breasts. If you don’t want implants, you could have just a peri-areolar mastopexy which would give the nipple/areolar complexes a mild lift and help with the “pointy” appearance of your breasts. In order to treat the the lack of fullness that you mentioned, implants would be required.
Be sure to see an experienced, board certified plastic surgeon.
Good luck.
