Hello, your skin excess requires an extended tummy tuck and your scar may reach the back side a little not to cause dog-ears, because you a serious skin excess on the midline and that would be removed. Lipo to upper abdomen and flanks is also recommended by me. Regards.

Hello, there is no certain timing for this but usually when I see my patients at the end of the first week I feel comfortable about this only IF the blood circulation is well. When the patients have some circulation problems they may have wound issues even 2-3 weeks after. But If you are worried about the wound re-opening months later, probably that will not require an aggressive attempt and will heal spontaneously. Most often suture reactions cause this. Regards.
Ethibond – do you avoid it in your practice?

Hello, during all kind of surgeries including tummy tuck we have lots of suture choices. Ethibond is one of the permanent sutures which has more risk for foreign body reaction and infection. But sometimes we use also ethibond. For example in my routine of tummy tuck I use PDS sutures, that is not permanent and has less risk for foreign body and infection but still has risk. Regards.

Hello, even from the photo I can say you have even more than enough skin excess for a full tummy tuck. No need for a small vertical incision. On your upper abdomen looks like you have a minimal muscle diastasis which can be fixed during the TT. And you also have a nice definition on your sides which will give a nice two-pack look after TT.
