I want an explant 7 weeks after breast implants. Do I need en bloc removal? Will I need a lift? (pho
Remove?
Oct 26, 2019
There shouldn’t be a need for enblock or lift. Because it’s been such a short time. I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you. Discuss all with your PS. He or she might have suggestions.
What can I do to fix my asymmetrical upper lids with excess skin?
Bleph
Feb 6, 2019
If you are worried that your age is an issue whether you could have surgery or not, well, it’s not an issue. It really would be best to have an in person exam to see the excursion of your eyelids. This will be critical to know which procedure is best for you. Not all PS (or Ophthalmologists) are skilled in ptosis surgery. You ought to ask about this specifically. Good luck.
Would breast implants work for me or would I have to do a lift and implants?
Lift?
Feb 6, 2019
An in person exam is always best, but it appears a lift would be of significant benefit to you or you may end up with what we call a “double bubble” deformity with the implant way above the areola. If you are happy with the volume of your breasts currently, then no implant is necessary. It is true that typically there is better superior fullness when an implant is placed, but you are the patient, so you decide.
How Long Should I Leave my Dissolvable Stitch Alone?
Suture
Feb 6, 2019
It is very common for the most superficial layer of sutures to “spit” as we call it. I like to have those knots removed as it could be a source of a wound infection. Not a serious issue, but hey, why take chances?
My TT is on 2/27. Do I still need to take Vicodin if I have Exparel?
Narcotics
Feb 6, 2019
It’s great your surgeon used Exparel. Yes, you will need the vicodin, but you will need less than you otherwise would. I hope you have a great experience–looks like you will be off to a good start.
Shall I postpone tooth extraction and dental implant insert 8 weeks after breast augmentation?
Tooth
Dec 22, 2018
If your breast augmentation is going well, I don’t see any reason why you can’t proceed. I would discuss this with your plastic surgeon first.
How long does it take the hard spots to soften after lipo?
Lumps
Dec 15, 2018
Firm areas are not uncommon. Usually they subside at 6 months, some a little longer. Be patient.
Does arm liposuction cover the armpit fat roll in the front?
ARm Pit
Dec 1, 2018
Yes, this area can be liposuctioned. Make sure to point this out as an sea of concern so there are no misunderstandings!
Silimed breast implants relates to BIA-ALCL. Is there a heightened risk?
Testured Implants
Nov 27, 2018
The diagnosis you are talking about is real, but very rare. A visit to your doctor to discuss this is a great idea. Your symptoms are not exactly ones associated, more likely a capsular contracture, and this might mean having the capsule removed, along with both implants, place smooth implants and you have solved the worries!
What’s your second opinion on this intermittent, burning/stinging pain?
Pain
Nov 23, 2018
This type of pain is not uncommon. Unless something else comes up, I think it will resolve w time.
Follow-up: Tuberous breast correction: what procedure would be best for my tuberous breasts? (Photos
Tuberois
Nov 23, 2018
It appeares that a mastopexy and augmentation May be in your best interest. An in person exam is critical. See an ASPS surgeon to be evaluated.
Do I need a tummy tuck or just lipo?
TT?
Nov 17, 2018
A personal exam is always best, but it looks as if you would be best be served by and abdominal plasty.
When can I stand straight? I am 23 days post-op tummy tuck. My surgery was on October 23 2018 (Photo
Standing
Nov 17, 2018
This varies a lot from patient patient. In general, I would say it’s typically 3 to 6 weeks. It will come. You don’t really need to do anything. Pulling to early might Widener scar so this helps protect that also.
I’m super scared about travelling after a 1 week stay?
Traveling
Nov 12, 2018
Your are right to be concerned, but if you are having a normal post operative recovery, follow your surgeon’s suggestions about how to care for yourself while travelling and you should do just fine. Getting up and walking some, say to the bathroom during your flight will help decrease the possible problem of a blood clot in your legs–once every hour is usually more than enough.
Can you have liposuction if you take blood pressure medication?
BP
Nov 12, 2018
As long as your blood pressure is under control, and your doctor is aware of which medicine you are on, you should do fine. Many patients have had liposuction with hypertension under control and have done just fine.
