Doctor Alexandrides, London, (W1G 6AW) 55 Year Old Mrs. Treated With Blepharoplasty Dark Circles Picture
This patient was interested in a Lower Blepharoplasty, or Lower Eyelid Surgery, as she was bothered with bags of the lower eyelids and her dark circles too. On initial examination, there was extensive laxity of the lower eyelids with protrusion of the fat, alongside deep nasolabial folds, mid-face ptosis, and hyperpigmentation, including melasma. I explained to her that while Blepharoplasty will aid the puffiness, it will not alter some aspects of this deformity, such as hyperpigmentation. However, laser and non-surgical treatments will prove this. Although, after five months the Lower Blepharoplasty has greatly improved the laxity of the under-eyes, her circles and the hyperpigmenation – where now she looks immensely refreshed and years younger.
