Seattle, WA Breast Augmentation Procedure Price
Breast augmentation is the most popular cosmetic surgery in the United States because it can consistently change the breast of a woman and create a beautiful result. Here in Seattle WA, we commonly have available saline implants and silicone gel implants.
We are currently undergoing testing of the cohesive gel implants before they are made widely available. However, in other countries these cohesive gel implants may already be in use. To obtain a consistent and beautiful result, your best bet is to work with a board-certified plastic surgeon who has a great deal of experience in breast augmentation surgery.
Also keep in mind that like any surgery breast augmentation surgery does have risks and you will most definitely need follow-up. For this reason consider receiving your surgery where you can easily follow up with your doctor should you need additional help.

Saline v/s Silicone implants
Silicone implants in Seattle WA generally feel more natural than saline implants particularly in thin patients or patients with thin skin Saline implants need to be filled to the correct volume to reduce the incidence of rippling. This volume differs depending on each patients tissues The adjustable saline implant (spectrum) has numerous advantages .
The volume can be accurately adjusted after surgery , not only to reduce rippling , but to allow the patient to have input into the final size of her breasts. The breasts can also be expanded to treat a variety of complications such a s scarring , capsular contracture ,malpositioning etc .
Can a plus sized woman get breast implants?
Absolutely you can. What is more important is the selection of appropriate size and shape of the implants in Seattle. I highly recommend consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon
Natural appearance of augmented breast when starting with little to no breast tissue.
The best way, in my opinion, to achieve a natural appearance after breast augmentation in Seattle when starting with little to no breast tissue is to use the new form stable implants that a tear dropped shape.
My results with these implants in breast reconstruction and patients like yourself is astounding. These implants are a real game changer.
Capsular contracture
If your implants are hard, painful, or pinched looking, you may have capsular contracture. This is diagnosed clinically and can also be confirmed with imaging if needed. To appropriately treat capsular contracture, you must have an operation to remove the hypertrophic capsule (capsulectomy) and a replacement of your implant with a new implant.
Discuss these issues with your plastic surgeon.
Capsular contracture
What is described here sounds to be consistent with development of capsular contracture of both of your breast implants. This a well described complication of breast augmentation surgery in Seattle. The symptoms vary from mild increased firmness to visible distortion and even pain.
The treatment for this is to have the capsule (or scar tissue surrounding the implant) removed and new implants in Seattle placed in the same or different location (under the muscle rather than under the breast).
“Settling” breast implants after surgery
It sounds like you have high riding implants in Seattle which can sometimes be repositioned in the early post op. period by the use of a bandage or special garments. However, a consultation would be necessary to ascertain the surgical realities and alternatives .
Techniques to help your implants settle
To facilitate the settling of sub-pectoral breast implants in Seattle, it is very common to have patients wear a light weight compression sports bra with an elastic breast band and to have patients perform breast massages. The elastic band that rests on top of the implants on your chest will help, in the same way your surgeon is having you wear your sports bra when you sleep, to gently push down on the upper pole of the breast and facilitate the settling process.
Breast or implant displacement massages will also help in expanding the breast pocket by stretching the lower pole of the muscle so that the sub-pectoral breast pocket can now comfortably accommodate your new implants in Seattle. It is possible that either your implants have pretty much settled into place and you may require a revisional breast lift, or that your implants just need a little more time to fully settle since this process can take 3-4 months to be complete.
I would highly recommend discussing your concerns with your operating surgeon.
Give your body time to adjust from Breast Augmentation
By most standards, at 5’7″ and 115 lbs, you are underweight, and I would always inquire about eating disorders and possible associated depression in prospective patients. This may account for your strong reaction to surgery. But even if it isn’t, don’t act rashly and give yourself time to adjust to your new body image.
A 10 lb. weight gain and some time may be all you need
Periareolar “lift” – limited utility
After seeing your breasts, I strongly discourage you from considering the periareolar lift. In my opinion, the periareolar mastopexy is an operation that has very limited application. It is useful for reducing areola size and for slightly moving the areola position.
It tends to flatten the breast rather than lifting it, and can result in very abnormal appearing areolas. Think about this: areola skin is thin and soft, similar to eyelid skin. Breast skin is thicker, similar to cheek skin.
The periareolar mastopexy is performed by removing a dough-nut of skin from around the areola, and “purse-stringing” the breast skin in towards the nipple. Even if a reinforcing permanent stitch is used to hold the thick breast skin inward, often the breast skin “wins” and stretches the areola out to strange proportions.
(This is much more likely to happen if you add the stress of an implant behind it!) To get the best result, you should stage your operations – perform a lift first and let the scars heal without the tension caused by an implant (this will give you the best looking scars).
Once they have healed (3-6 months), you can safely place a proportionately large implant and achieve the perky look you are searching for.
Running after breast implants.
Once your doctor has cleared you and given you the go ahead to resume normal exercise and physical activity you will be able to run without affecting your new breast implants in Seattle. I ask my patients to refrain from any exercise, running included, for at least 4 weeks following their breast augmentation in Seattle and it is important to always wear a supportive sports bra.
Speak with your surgeon to discuss their specific post-operative restrictions.
Cardio Post Breast Augmentation
I would advise that you wait at least 3-4 weeks before doing any sort of strenuous cardio like running. Though this may seem like a conservative estimate, it is essential that you give your recovering body enough time to heal before returning to your pre-breast augmentation exercise routine.
This range is also dependent on the size of your implants and how your body is responding in the weeks following your breast augmentation surgery.
Your surgeon will be able to give you the final ok as to when you can resume exercising, as he or she has worked closely with you and knows your condition best.
Breast incision
I understand your question and wanting less scar on your body. However, to violate the integrity of the inframmamary fold can be froth with problems. The folds maybe uneven, the implant could migrate down toward the abdomen, and many more.
This has been tried with infrequent success. Do proceed with caution. The breast scars heal so favorably do not fear them.
Scarring After Breast Augmentation
Whenever you have an incision, you will have a scar. However, advanced techniques and the use of scar treatment programs can leave you with very discrete scars that are hardly recognizable. My preferred method for breast augmentation is through the areola.
Here, you will have the least noticeable scar because the incision is made along the edge of the areola, naturally providing a line to hide the incision. Plus the skin here is much thinner, allowing for a thinner scar and quicker healing.
My advanced techniques also allow for less pressure on the incision site, which helps reduce the thickness of the scar as well. Transaxillary breast augmentation (through the armpit) is also a popular choice for patients because no scars are left on the breast at all, although healing time is slightly longer because the implant has to travel a further distance.
Only saline implants in Seattle can be used for this technique. The inframmary technique, more commonly referred to as “under the fold”, is mostly used for patients who want silicone implants and have areolas too small for the size of the implant needed to achieve their breast enhancement goals.
The skin here is much thicker, which will cause a thicker scar and will take longer to heal. It will also be more noticeable when wearing a swimsuit, as compared to the other options. Transumbilical (TUBA) or the technique know as “through the belly button” received a lot of media attention because it was advertised as “scarless breast augmentation”.
No scars can be seen from this technique because the incision is made through the belly button. However, this is not a preferred method for breast augmentation because it causes more trauma to the body and requires longer healing time.
This technique is primarily used during a breast augmentaton/tummy tuck procedure. Like the transaxillary technique, only saline implants in Seattle can be used here. Incisions vary based on your anatomy and the size of the implant.
Because saline implants are not pre-filled ( they are rolled up and inserted) , they typically only require an incision only about an inch long. Since silicone implants are pre-filled the incision varies more based on the size of the implant.
This typically is about 1 1/2 to 2 inches long. It is very important to follow your doctor’s post-op instructions after breast augmentation to ensure that you heal nicely. Using a silicone based scar treatment program, such as Kelocote or Bio Corneum, allows for proper healing and minimal scarring.
A small amount is required twice a day for 12 weeks following your procedure. It is also important to avoid tanning (outdoors or in a tanning bed). This can cause scars to appear more prominent.
Implants and lift
Unfortunately if you have augmentation surgery it will only make your breasts larger but your breasts will not be lifted
Lots of options for tuberous breasts
While it sounds like you are describing a tuberous breast problem, it is a diagnosis that has to be made by examining your breasts properly. Women with tuberous breasts often have a combination of large areolas compared to the rest of their breast size, droopiness, high inframammary fold (where the breast gland meets the lower chest) and poorly developed lower pole of the breast gland.
Tuberous breasts can be small or big! The goal of surgery is to achieve symmetry between the breasts using incisions that release the constriction ring of fascia that gives the breast its odd shape. After that, breast implants in Seattle are used to shape and increase the size of smaller breasts OR a breast lift/reduction can be done for larger breasts.
In both surgical options the nipple is brought to a higher position and the breast gland and inframmamary fold are lowered.
Breast enlargement without implants
There have been many efforts to enhance the breasts without implants, none very successful. The old gym teacher exhorting her junior high class in pec exercises chanting something about “we must build our bust” comes to mind.
Herbals, Brava, and fat injection are all out there. None does anything significant and the lipofilling is not yet considered a standard of care. .
