Long term redness above upper lip border
Long term redness above upper lip border
Nov 25, 2023
Thank you for your pictures and questions. This is certainly an interesting finding. This looks more like a topical reaction to something rather than something resulting from fillers. I would look at any and all products you are placing on your lips throughout the day and see if there is anything that might be causing this. Further evaluation and treatment by a dermatologist might help as well. If you go through all of that and get no answers or results, you can always consider going through...
Motiva Ergonomix 2 vs. Anatomical TrueFixation? What's the comparable to the Ergonomix implant?
Motiva Ergonomix 2 vs. Anatomical TrueFixation? What's the comparable to the Ergonomix implant?
Nov 25, 2023
Thank you for your questions. I cannot speak to the Motiva implants as they are not FDA approved in the US for general use. With any shaped implant, there is always a risk of rotation. If you wanted to achieve a more "teardrop" shape with a round implant, you would be best to choose a less cohesive silicone gel implant that settles more, concentrating more implant volume in the lower pole of the breast. This does come with an increased amount of rippling and loss of upper pole fullness. With...
Lower face help?!
Lower face help?!
Nov 25, 2023
Thank you for your pictures and questions. You honestly have a very normal appearance to your lower face for someone of your age. Don't forget that comparing yourself to others online can lead you down a long rabbit hole chasing something that is not realistic. Your photos do show some underprojection of your chin and you would likely do well with a small chin implant to achieve some more balance. If you are bothered with some fullness in your lower face, a buccal fat pad removal might also...
Can permanent sutures for symmastia repair be removed? Where are they typically placed?
Can permanent sutures for symmastia repair be removed?
Oct 31, 2023
Thank you for your question. I would say that any permanent sutures in place could be removed at the time of surgery. But the point of using a permanent suture is to provide long term strength or support. So once those sutures are removed, you are relying on residual scar tissue in the area to hold things together and there is no assurance that will be enough. There is no "typical" amount or placement of sutures as every physician has his or her own preference for what they do and what works...
Can I still undergo breast augmentation surgery if I was diagnosed with BiRads 3? Photos
Can I still undergo breast augmentation surgery if I was diagnosed with BiRads 3?
Oct 31, 2023
Thank you for your pictures and questions. I think that this one is on the fence a little bit. BIRADS 2 means benign, 3 means "probably benign" and the 4 means "suspected cancer" so it is a judgement call by the radiologist. You and your plastic surgeon should discuss things and decide how to proceed. My preference would be "better safe than sorry" and I would recommend you just proceed with a needle biopsy to verify the lesion is benign before proceeding with surgery. Also coming into the...
