Invisalign could definitely fix this problem. It’s difficult to say for sure from the photos but I’m guessing Smile Direct wouldn’t help much at all. The upper centrals need to move up and in and Smile Direct probably couldn’t do either movement.

I would ask the office for a referral to another dentist. Sometimes when a dentist leaves town for a week they refer their emergency patients to another dentist that they’re friends with. A tooth without a temporary can move a lot in a week, there’s a good chance that your permanent crown won’t fit quite right at your next appointment.

I think you would be a great Invisalign candidate. You can definitely rotate your canine and pull it into the arch. As for pulling your entire right side down, you’d have to go to extreme lengths to correct that and Invisalign wouldn’t do it. I can’t see your overbite and overjet but IPR and Invisalign should be able to lessen those.

I agree with you that the veneers are a little too opaque compared to your natural teeth. Choosing an emax translucency is a difficult process, and the decision is usually made by the lab. I would recommend seeing your dentist so they can evaluate the fit of your aligners. Sometimes if aligners are not fitting and the teeth are not tracking you will need to take new impressions. This lets you create a new set of aligners from your current tooth position.

It’s really difficult to say without seeing professional photos. But Invisalign can definitely straighten out your upper centrals. Your lower anteriors could also probably be intruded down and straightened out too. I’m guessing your bite will be your biggest issue. I’d focus on getting your teeth healthy first, and know in the future that Invisalign is a definite possibility!
