I had 8 veneers put on. I’m not 100% satisfied but my dentist thinks they look great. I am looki
Unhappy with veneers
May 8, 2015
What I see in the photos is asymmetry of gum height between right and left sides. Left side looks natural because you have what would be considered ideal or normal gum display, but on your right side, too much gum is showing. The treatment of choice for this side is what’s called crown lengthening to raise the gum line to match your left side, then veneers would need to be replaced on your right side to match the left.
Am I good candidate for Crown or Veneers?
Veneers vs. braces
May 8, 2015
Based on your photos I would recommend conventional braces or invisalign rather than crowns or veneers. If you opt for veneers, your teeth will still be crooked.
I have a very large space in the front of my teeth. How can I get it to close up?
Closing large gap between front teeth.
Nov 8, 2014
Best way to close it is to first spread the large space between your front six or eight teeth with braces or invisalign, then have veneers placed on these same teeth to close those spaces.
My two top wisdom teath are healthy but are dropping down. Is it advisable to have then removed?
Wisdom teeth dropping down.
Nov 8, 2014
I would recommend removing them only if they are causing discomfort or they are affecting how your remaining teeth come into contact. They generally will drop down until they touch the gum tissue on the bottom. If you’re in good health, it should not be a problem to remove it if necessary. Hope that helps.
Can I Do Veneer Preparation Directly After Crown Lengthening and Take Impression for my Patient
Final impression right after crown lenghthening not advised.
Oct 7, 2013
I have successfully taken final impressions following conservative gingival recontouring but would advise against it following crown lengthening, as it is hard to predict the final gingival position. I would recommend allowing at least 4 to 6 weeks of healing.
I Got Hit in the Mouth & Cracked my Front Tooth. Dentist Said It’s Fine & Told Me I Didn’t Need
Damage to front tooth after a hit
Oct 6, 2013
It comes down to how hard the blow was and what the damage is. I recommend allowing 2 to weeks from time of accident to see if the pressure and sensitivity go away before deciding on treatment. You may need a root canal to treat the damaged nerve and a veneer or crown to protect the crack and prevent it from spreading.
I Have Had a Bridge for 40 Years – What is Best to Do in Replacing Bridge Please?
Replacement options for a bridge.
Sep 29, 2013
Your options depend on how long of a span your current bridge is and whether replacing it with an even longer bridge is wise. If there is decay under one of the anchor teeth, you are better off opting for a removable partial or individual implants which allow you to keep everything clean easier than with a bridge.
