With due respect since I was not in your operating room, one breast has scars that are beautiful, and the other has scar hypertrophy and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. This thicker scarring and dark discoloration respectively are due to inflammation and irritation (or even mild stitch infection as they dissolve) being present on one side and not (or less) on the other.

I've changed your question, since your BMI is 42.5, and there is no place for elective surgery with the documented increased risks of potential complications in someone with a BMI over 30.

Our own accredited surgical facility anesthesia providers will not anesthetize anyone with a BMI over 35, and even these patients undergo more rigorous screening before surgery. Add COVID-19 concerns, and elective surgery becomes even more potentially problematic for higher-risk patients.

Short answer: Yes, but it will almost certainly NOT change your pain, and your areolas may stretch (sometimes significantly, which is why permanent sutures are used in the first place).
