This patient was not happy with her smile, and she was constantly trapping food between her teeth and began chipping her teeth because of her overbite. She was single and hesitant to date. Growing up in Europe, she did not have access to orthodontics and she didn't know that it was possible to straighten her teeth fast forward now. She thought the only option was veneers. I advised against veneers due to the fact that she had already had nice size and shaped teeth, they just needed to be placed in the right position. Also if you look carefully, her upper central incisors are not symmetrical - the gum line is lower on her right (left on photo), and the right central is also shorter in length if you were to put them side-by-side. After 14 months of Invisalign, we straightened all her teeth, aligned her gum levels, and corrected her deep bite. We then whitened her teeth with Zoom and finally added composite bonding to match the lighter shade, in order to compensate for the shorter length of her right central. Bonding was also placed on other teeth to level the edges. She was extremely happy with the final esthetic outcome and relieved she would not have to deal with a higher cost of veneers. She has since gone back to dating and found a boyfriend!
